Parking fees will be changing in City of Perth Parking car parks and on-street (kerbside) parking bays from 31 March 2025.
The increase in fees will help cover running costs and ensure we can continue to support our community and maintain and activate our City.
The changes are listed below.
Boom gate entry car parks
Hourly rate in all boom gate entry car parks will increase by 50 cents per hour.
- Day rate from Monday to Friday will increase by $1 per day.
- Day rate on weekends will increase by $1 per day.
- The $5 night rate will be reintroduced Monday to Sunday.
Non-boom gate (pay-by-plate) car parks
Hourly rate in all non-boom gate entry car parks will increase by 20 to 60 cents per hour.
Day rate from Monday to Friday will increase by 50 cents per day.
- Day rate on weekends will increase by $1 per day.
- The $5 night rate will be reintroduced Monday to Sunday.
On-street (kerbside) car bays
Hourly rate will increase by 20 to 60 cents per hour depending on the location.
- Day rate Monday to Friday will increase by 40 cents per day in Nedlands - Crawley, and 50 cents per day in Claisebrook on Brown Street between Jewell Lane and Mardalup Car park.
Free night-time parking in Car Parks
- The free night parking initiative introduced as part of ‘Bounce Back Perth’ in February 2022 to support City businesses following the COVID-19 pandemic will be replaced with a $5 night rate.

Fee changes do not apply to motorcycle parking fees. There are no changes to ACROD parking concessions.

Three-hour free parking in select car parks
3-hour free parking is available in these three car parks on weekends and public holidays:
Cultural Centre Car Park, 2 Roe Street, Northbridge
His Majesty’s Car Park, 377 Murray Street, Perth

Free on-street night-time parking
Free night-time parking is available in on-street bays in the City of Perth from 6pm. Refer to street signs for parking restrictions.
1-hour free parking on-street in select areas
Free 1-hour parking is available in select areas on Hay Street in East Perth and West Perth, and Royal Street in East Perth.
