Bicycle Parking at Elder Street Car Park

Dedicated Bicycle Parking Area - Elder St Car Park 

As part of our commitment to becoming a more environmentally and bicycle friendly City, we have installed 54 bicycle bays within Elder Street Car Park. 

Conveniently located on the corner of Elder Street and Murray Steet, this facility offers bicycle parking in a secure, dedicated area for 20 cents per hour with a 12 hour maximum of $1.20.
 

Bicycle Entry Instructions:

  1. When approaching bicycle ticket dispenser at bicycle entry, place bicycle on yellow 'smart loop' and press green button for ticket. Take ticket.
  2. Pedestrian turnstile and bicycle gate will unlock
  3. Walk through turnstile whilst pushing bicycle through bicycle gate
  4. Park and lock your bicycle
  5. At internal ticket dispenser, push green button to unlock pedestrian turnstile.
  6. When pedestrian turnstile is unlocked, push and walk through to exit the car park

Bicycle Exit Instructions:

Before returning to the bicycle parking area

  1. Pay ticket at automated pay machine.
  2. Return to bicycle entry and insert paid ticket into ticket dispenser.
  3. Retrieve ticket from dispenser.
  4. Pedestrian turnstile will unlock to allow collection of bicycle.
  5. Insert paid ticket into internal ticket dispenser
  6. Pedestrian turnstile and bicycle gate will unlock
  7. Exit car park with bicycle
